Healing

It doesn’t have to hurt. Really!

We are unified beings and healing is a return to balance. Every health challenge is a combination of physical, mental, spiritual and emotional factors. Each person has the innate ability to heal themselves when the body is in a state of ease, rather than dis-ease. The work we do together affects all levels – mind, body and spirit – to bring you back into balance.

A central tenet of integrative medicine is that people are encouraged to actively participate in their own health and wellness. It’s empowering to do so. And while the client doesn’t get to dictate the terms of their healing, they do own it, and they determine to some extent how successful a treatment will be.

Now, the “not having to hurt” part. Somewhere in our evolution, we got the idea that in order to heal a past trauma we had to wrench it back up and expel it, re-experiencing all the pain and hurt and fear that came with it the first time. I call it “barfing up terror and grief”. And maybe back then, this was the only way we could do it. The tools we had available required this step for the process.

Things are different now. We have modalities at our disposal, like The Reconnection, that allow us to release and heal old wounds without having to relive them. Hurts, fears, traumas, old stuck energy can just go — whoosh!

Whew, right?

But here’s the thing: it’s also a mind-set. If you go into a session expecting to revisit and re-experience the trauma - regardless of the modality being used - you’re going to revisit and re-experience the trauma. And, fortunately for us, the reverse is also true. If your intention is to release and heal these parts of yourself without effort but with ease and peace and gratitude — whoosh!
